Parramatta Eels star to play Super 14 next season

All six Crusaders’ All Blacks to start against the Stormers
After being without the services of six All Blacks for the first half of the Super 14, Crusaders’ coach Robbie Deans has chosen to start all his returning All Blacks this weekend.

Recently I noticed that Sports After Dark seems to have turned into an exclusively rugby blog. I always intended to cover whatever sports took my fancy and recently that has only been the Super 14. I’ll likely cover some of the ICC Cricket World Cup once that reaches the Super Eights stage, but in the mean time here’s what happened at Albert Park in Melbourne.

The Super 14 hits the midway point with Week 7 and the competition is still wide open. Week 7 also marks the last week that the 22 top All Blacks are unavailable to play, most are likely to be at least on the bench next week, strengthening the line ups of all New Zealand teams.
As the All Blacks return next week this is also the last chance many New Zealand players will get to start matches, and their last chance to push for places in the Tri-Nations squad.
