All Blacks team to play France named

The All Blacks team to play France on Saturday night in Auckland has just been named.
The team is:
Leon MacDonald
Josevata Rokocoko
Isaia Toeava
Aaron Mauger
Sitiveni Sivivatu
Dan Carter
Piri Weepu
Chris Masoe
Richie McCaw (c)
Reuben Thorne
Ali Williams
Chris Jack
Carl Hayman
Keven Mealamu
Tony Woodcock
Reserves:
Andrew Hore
Neemia Tialata
Troy Flavell
Rodney So’oialo
Brendon Leonard
Nick Evans
Ma’a Nonu
A somewhat predictable but very strong line up. The only real surprise is the inclusion of Chris Masoe to play at Number 8. However he has played at No. 8 for the Hurricanes at Super 14 level and the ability to cover there as well as his specialist position of openside flanker makes him a valuable player.
A surprising number of players were not considered due to injury. This includes Byron Kelleher, Mils Muliaina, and Conrad Smith, who are out with hamstring strains; Jerry Collins who has a heel injury; and Anton Oliver who has a foot injury.
