All Black World Cup squad named

Coach Graham Henry has named 29 players for his World Cup squad with one player to be added before 14 August.
There were no real surprises as most of the Tri-Nations squad retained their places with half back Andrew Ellis and loose forward Sione Lauaki added to the mix. Half back Piri Weepu and lock Troy Flavell both miss out after showing indifferent form during the Tri-Nations.
“They are talented players who have worked hard to prove themselves over a long period of time,” said Henry of his charges, adding that eleven of the squad would be made available for the early rounds of the Air New Zealand Cup.
